Blackfield is a software studio in Johannesburg. We build the systems that run a business automatically: websites that capture leads, assistants that answer at midnight, workflows that never forget an invoice. And instead of telling you about them, we put them on this site, running, where you can watch.

A new studio, and honest about it.
You will not find testimonials or client logos here, because we will not invent them. Any example business we use to explain a service is clearly fictional. What we can show you is real: the systems themselves, running on this site, priced in plain Rands with no hidden tiers.
We build on the modern stack: TypeScript, AI where it genuinely helps, and the tools you already pay for wired together properly. Everything ships into accounts you own. If we disappeared tomorrow, your systems would keep running and any developer could pick them up.
We would rather start small and earn the next build than sell you a platform on day one. The first system usually pays for the second.
What we believe
Software should remember, so people don’t have to.
Most businesses lose money in the gaps between tools and between shifts. The message nobody saw, the quote nobody sent, the invoice nobody chased. We build the thing that holds all of that, so a busy day stays under control.
We build on the same rails we sell. This site is running on them.
The system that answers our enquiries is the system we install for you. We don’t demo something we wouldn’t run our own business on. When you send us a message, you are already inside the product.
You own everything we ship. No hostage code, no lock-in.
The code, the data, the accounts: yours, from day one. If you ever want to run it yourself, or hand it to someone else, you can. We would rather earn the next month than trap you in it.
